Madison Fankhanel
Communications Coordinator
Madison started with Imagine as a summer student, and then never left! Madison worked as a curriculum developer in the summer of 2022 to develop our “Loss & Grief in Children” training. Besides curriculum development, Madison also has a creative side, and discovered her love for content creation over the summer. Now she works part-time as a Social Media Specialist throughout the school year. Madison is working towards her BSc. in Honours Psychology at the University of Alberta and hopes to continue her journey in supporting people with their mental health journeys once she graduates. Madison has lived in Edmonton (Amiskwacîwâskahikan) on Treaty 6 Territory her whole life and hopes to spend some time in her future exploring the world & the many cultures and experiences the world has to offer. While Madison doesn’t have much professional experience under her belt, she is rich with innovative ideas and a will for change. Madison spends a lot of her time volunteering, learning, researching, or collaborating in some form to help reduce the barriers and stigma surrounding mental health. She recognizes the importance of operating from a trauma-informed perspective and loves that she gets to do that while working for Imagine! When she’s not working or at school, Madison loves to read, cook, workout, bike, journal, walk her dog, and spend time with friends and family!
