Diana Crețu
Community Engagement Director
Diana (pronounced Deanna) Crețu is an inquisitive, resourceful, and driven multipotentialite who is grateful to have found a community and be settled on Treaty 6 Territory (Amiskwacîwâskahikan), colonially known as Edmonton, Alberta.

With a deeply rooted passion for effecting positive social change and achieving measurable systemic impact, Diana has spent her professional career in the human services sector, bringing together diverse stakeholders, facilitating collaborative projects, and getting to know the social innovation ecosystem. Diana has learned that, especially in the context of community-led collaborative projects and the vital work of human services, change only happens at the speed of trust. Grounded in this knowledge, she always strives to move forward with authenticity in order to learn from and build meaningful relationships with other humans along the way.

As the Community Engagement Director with Imagine Institute for Learning, Diana has the opportunity to use both her lived experience and her educational background to support organizations in building human-centred workplace cultures where everybody can show up fully and authentically and do their best work. Diana’s work challenges individuals and organizations alike to consider how we might be able to transform our workplaces into communities of care where psychological safety and well-being are ongoing, co-created experiences rather than something dictated by policy. Diana believes that through cultivating a culture of compassion (both for ourselves and others), we can move towards a world of work where true belonging is possible for all of us.
